In my travels to various places around the world, one thing always strikes me: women face the same issues everywhere, whether they be single, married, mothers, childless by choice, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, professionals... pick any category, and the fact remains: women still face more challenges in every aspect of life, and have fewer rights. As the primary lifegivers and caregivers, we deserve better.

Religious, physical, mental, economic and political violence against women (including limits on our rights to choose, to move freely, and to pursue a quality education and career) must cease for any society to become whole and productive. It has become obvious that even in the United States, our rights are not guaranteed.

Education goes a long way in helping women improve their lives and their standard of living through recognizing that they do have control over their destinies. Everyone who is willing to better themselves deserves the chance to do so.

Help Cure Breast Cancer

Love 'em or hate 'em, I was asked by Clear Channel's Help Cure Breast Cancer charity effort to contribute a song. I chose to non-exclusively "donate" Upside-Down Girl, and according to them, 100% of proceeds from every $1 .mp3 download will go toward helping to find a cure for this illness that devastates women and their families.
