From up here his letters look all
backwards, mangled, twisted 'round
I can feel him thru the wires
He's feeding fires, he dreams out loud
For so long, been watchin' this world go 'round
...so long, since I've left this town and this crowd
I'm hangin' around...
I'm an upside-down girl...
Livin' in a rightside-up world
An upside down-girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
So turn it around girl
You're lost and you're found girl
You're an upside-down girl
(Better tie me to the bed...)
I'm deep inside his universe
It's a brand new world it's in hi-res
Pack me up in styrofoam with a
Box of CDs, then press send...
For so long, been watchin' this world go 'round
He said, since I've left this town and this crowd
I'm hangin' around...
I'm an upside-down girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
An upside-down girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
So turn it around girl
You're lost and you're found, girl!
You're an upside-down girl..... yow!
(Uh - huh)
(Uh - huh)
(Uh - huh)
For so long... watchin' this world go 'round
He
said, since I've left this town and this crowd
I'm hangin' around...
I'm an upside-down girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
An upside-down Girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
So turn it around, girl
You're lost and you're found girl
You're caught in a dreamworld
So turn it around girl (you're an...)
Upside-down girl
Livin'
in a rightside-up world
An upside-down Girl
Livin' in a rightside-up world
So turn it around, girl
You're caught in a dreamworld
Turn it around, girl
You're caught in a dream... dream... dream
do do (turn it around girl)... ( x 2 out)

now, this gets interesting :-)) ... I was planning
a trip to Australia in the summer of 2000, and a
few acquaintances at the time had the nerve to tell
me, "so, you're going Down Under to be an
Upside-down Girl for awhile..." well, by the time
the third person had accused me of this, ideas for
the song had started to form, so to my accusers, I
heartily thank you... after completing the basic song
in August of 2000, I very quickly demoed the song
at Sweet Creek Studios in PA and sent it out to three
morons posing as music producers in NYC, LA and
Australia... offering credits on the song IF they would
please produce it on their dime... no one took me up
on it, so I came back to PA and started playing
it live... viola! It soon became the number one requested
song at all of my live gigs, so I just produced it
myself... better than anyone else could and yep,
this is a NUMBER ONE HIT SONG...
